BY CAR From ROME (A1) - From BARI (A16) - From SALERNO (A30)

 

It is advisable to reach the port of NAPLES "CALATA PORTA DI MASSA" (ferries, entrance to the "Varco Pisacane"): you should NOT take the ring road, but follow the signs for PORT AREA and after the exit continue for the port, about 5 KM from the freeway.
ADVANTAGES: Better accessibility from the motorways (avoiding the traffic of the ring road and the city, as the junction leads directly to the port).

DISADVANTAGES: The journey is longer and more expensive; the number of trips is limited.

 

Alternatively, it is possible to follow the signs for the TANGENZIALE and continue towards POZZUOLI, exit at VIA CAMPANA (exit n.12) and continue towards the PORT OF POZZUOLI (ferries ONLY), about 4 KM away from the ring road.

ADVANTAGES: The cost of the ride is more contained, the duration of the crossing is lower, the number of rides is higher.
DISADVANTAGES: Difficulty in reaching the pier (you have to take the ring road and the city center, in case of traffic it can take well over an hour).

 

 

BY BUS

 

From 23 JUNE to 10 SEPTEMBER it is possible to reach Ischia directly from Rome, and at particularly interesting costs, thanks to the intermodal bus + hydrofoil service.

ON THE TRAIN

 

There are FOUR useful stations to reach one of the ports of Naples:
NAPLES CAMPI FLEGREI From here it is easy to reach the port of MERGELLINA by TAXI, bus, tram or underground, about 3 KM from the station.
NAPLES MERGELLINA The station is about 200 meters from the port of MERGELLINA.
CENTRAL NAPLES or NAPLES PIAZZA GARIBALDI Both stations actually allow immediate access to P.za Garibaldi, about 4 KM from the port of NAPOLI BEVERELLO, easily reachable by TAXI, tram or bus.

 

 

BY PLANE

 

From the airport of NAPLES CAPODICHINO it is possible to reach by taxi one of the two ports of NAPLES in 20-30 minutes; there is also a bus line (ALIBUS dell'ANM) which directly serves the CENTRAL STATION and the port of NAPOLI BEVERELLO, and which provides regular runs every 30 minutes from 5:50 to 23:30.

Once you have arrived in Ischia by car, follow the directions for Forio - Citara or take a taxi or the bus line n. 2.
